April 23, 2008 - Breakaway Adventure Center Set to Open

The new Breakaway Adventure Center is set to open May 30th. Located in the Breakaway Village, the Breakaway Adventure Center will offer acitivites such as whitewater rafting, hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding, all through Rock 'n' Water Outdoor Adventures. In addition, the adventure center will have mountain biking available at the new 26 West Mountain Bike park, located at Breakaway Village. April 14, 2008 - Mountain Bike Park Gearing up for Open May 30th

26 West Mountain Bike Park is gearing up to open May 30th. The park will be the only lisft-assisted mountain bike park in the Southeast. Located Breakaway Village, the park will bring another great activity to the area, and compliment the whitewater rafting, fly fishing, hiking, horseback riding and other activities already available at Breakaway.

February 15, 2008 - Ground Breakaway for Pizzaria, Fine Dining Restaurant and Grocery Market

Breakaway has broken ground on construction of its second permanent building in Breakaway Village. The building will be home to a Pizzaria, a Fine Dining Restaurant and a Grocery Market. Completion of the building is expected by December 1st. The restaurants and store in this new building, located at 30 Central Square, will add to the already existing Coffee/Ice Cream Shoppe, Book Store, Serendipity Market, and Boardwalk Grill. Breakaway is also working to open a Mountain Bike Park on the slopes at Breakaway, and a Rock Climbing Park, to compliment Rock 'n' Water, which already offers whitewater rafting, fly fishing, horse back riding, hiking and much more.

March 22, 2008 - Easter Egg Hunt & Party

The weather was great for the Easter Egg Hunt & Party at Breakaway hosted by Don and Bianca Pucci. The kids painted eggs, hunted for hidden eggs in the village center, and had a great time.

January 29, 2008 - A New Home Owner Moves In

Breakaway's latest home owners moved into their home at the first of the month. Tom and Martha Linsley live in Weaverville, North Carolina and built their home as an investment. It is beautifully furnished, on the rental program, and available to rent.

Janaury 5, 2008 - New Home Construction Schedules up by 50%

New Homes scheduled for construction in 2008 are up by 50% over last year. A number of owners of lots in Breakaway are scheduled to start construction of their homes in 2008. Above is a home designed by Mark Zonarich at TPUDC, for Lot 13, owned by Philip Scott. The home will be located adjacent to one of the many public walk paths/stair cases designed for Breakaway, and features a tower overlooking miles of western views. Towers that allow home owners to capture long-range views, are one of Breakaway's signature architectural element.
